99 Nights in the ForestAre you prepared to walk down an infinite staircase and face the horror lurking in the shadows? Play SCP-087: Into the Abyss, explore the dark depths of the cursed stairway and find out whether you have the fortitude to go further.
SCP-087: Into the Abyss is a psychological horror game inspired by the SCP universe where players come across strange sounds and terrifying creatures on a seemingly never-ending dark staircase. The game is about isolation, dread of the unknown and psychological strain as each step of the staircase brings the player closer to something that shouldn't exist.
You play as someone that has been sent to explore SCP-087, a mystery stairway deep inside a dark SCP structure. The instant you descend the first steps you know this place is not your average spot. The light is too faint to be of much use, sounds reverberate in the warped darkness and radio signals begin to vibrate oddly.
There are no obvious directions. Nobody informs you what is really waiting for you down there.
You can only keep going down, taking in your surroundings and attempting to keep your cool as the phenomena gets stranger and stranger.
As you descend down beneath SCP-087 the atmosphere grows increasingly stifling. Warning warnings flash and fade into the dark. Somewhere underneath you a baby is sobbing but you can never tell exactly where the sound is coming from.
Along the way players will encounter many bizarre anomalies as well as the unsettling presence of SCP-087-1, a pallid face with no eyes, nose or mouth. No one knows what this entity is . It often emerges out of nowhere , like it is always monitoring you .
With SCP-087: Into the Abyss, you can believe more than one explanation.
What you see could be something beyond human understanding…
or the mere effect of enduring terror and isolation in the infinite darkness.
Every step down is a step closer to a mystery that maybe mankind was never meant to discover.

SCP-087: Into the Abyss gameplay is simple in control but incredibly psychologically taxing. You just go down the dark stairs and keep investigating what’s down there. But the game not only tests fortitude, but leaves players constantly on the edge, odd sounds and events occurring again and again.
Your primary job is to investigate SCP-087, an apparently infinite staircase. Players will walk through the gloomy stairwells with a feeble flashlight. The farther down you go the more unstable and scary the atmosphere is.
In the darkness, look closely to every feature. You might hear:
Children’s cries came from below
Eerie footfalls and weird noises
Radio waves got in the way
Warning warnings appearing suddenly on walls or in halls
Some phenomena are transient thus players have to pay attention not to miss any clues.
As you explore, you may come upon SCP-087-1, a mystery monster that has a pale white face with no eyes, nose, or mouth. It arrives out of nowhere, in the dark, and players worry even when not directly attacked.
It’s not about fighting or complicated problems. The worst part is the isolation and the psychological pressure of going deeper and deeper into the infinite dark. The more you play, the more difficult it is to discern reality from hallucinations induced by anxiety.

Continue down to see what kind of weird things are inside SCP-087. Each successive step of the staircase may bring you more horrifying sounds, visions or experiences keeping you always on the edge of your seat, feeling that something lurks in the darkness below.
Join SCP-087: Into the Abyss, Listen to the odd sounds echoing from the depths and experience the weird phenomenon that happens during your fall. The game tests your fortitude, but it also makes you nervous, like somebody is watching you from the shadows in silence.
